Under Construction
This page is a tribute to all the dogs who have been part of my life,
gone now but forever part of my heart and memory.
CzciborSchH1, BH, CGC, HIC, RN, RPT
Czcibor was an amazing guy. He came to me as a rescue with a fantastic pedigree. He was starved and weighed 45lbs at a year old, but his attitude and spirit never faltered. Despite his bad New Jersey street start in life he learned to control himself and became the most naturally dominant balanced male I have ever been around. At maturity he was 65 lbs of speed and attitude and the cutest "smaller ears" of old line GSD. He was an extremely versatile dog in many fields of “work”. Czcibor was a proven produce of dogs with great temperament and strong balanced working drives as well as devoted family companions.
Czcibor has puppies working in Toronto Police Department, CANTF3 HUSAR (Canada Task Force 3 Heavy Urban Search and Rescue) and Ontario Provincial Police and Mass Transit Authority in NYC and Schutzhund sports. His full littermate Axel was to Ontario Provincial Police general patrol and narcotics dog. See pages, 7, 22, 37 here Axel is 2 years old http://www.city.quintewest.on.ca/services/police/Yearendreport_2006.pdf Also full littermate to sister, Lahr, was the first dog chosen to re-start the Canadian Military Police Service Dog program. (roll through the pics to see Larh with her Sgt.) 5 puppies from Czcibor (with Faza, Talen, and Gracie) were or are at this time in the breeding and guide dog program for The Seeing Eye Inc. in Morristown, New Jersey. His nickname was "Mini" because of his small ears and tiny mal like size. This guy stole my heart, he will never be replaced- ever. ~ * ~
Faza Z. Podvihorlatu CSFEMA US&R Type I Urban Search and Rescue Dog,
ScH3 Canadian Nationals 2008, CGC Faza came to me as a Czech import when she was 14 months old. She was everything she was promised to be and more. She was easy & fun but she was so powerful and intense too. She was agile as a cat and fearless. When she got it- she got it, whether it was FEMA US&R work or Schutzhund, she excelled. She was the kind of dog that excelled in the unknown, loved new rubble piles and unknown fields. We had an incredible connection in spirit and soul and worked so well together as partners. She saved us all from a fire one night in my house in Canada back in 2010. Her sensibility was incredible. We were on several FEMA deployments together from Canada to the USA at Hurricane Katrina and Hurricanes Ike and Gustav. She was the start of my breeding program and produced many fantastic puppies as super balanced family companions and protectors and in Toronto and OPP Police K9 departments in US&R and general patrol. One of the best contributions she could have ever made was with some puppies being chosen for the breeding program at Seeing Eye Inc. in New Jersey. Faza died at a young age of 8 of the disease Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). It was an "unknown" disease at that time, and her loss caused me to be a crusader for genetic DNA testing to prevent the disease in future breedings of the GSD.

Logan vom EichentalFEMA US&R Type II Urban Search and Rescue Dog, CGC
Logan was my second German Shepherd but my first working line one , the love affair started from there. When I got her as a young pup she showed every characteristic I was looking for, she even came barking! The breeder at the time said, you have no idea what you are getting here! And she was right. Logan was a granddaughter of the famous East German dog Lord Gleisdreieck. She was special in so many ways- through her I saw the true ability of a well bred working line GSD and the possibilities were endless. She was a true show boat, always performing for her "public". One of my fondest memories ever was her standing up on the rails of the truck as we were transported into the WTC site at 9/11 and her barking to the crowds with signs, the more they cheered the more she barked. That was her heart and soul. She loved and lived for her job as a search dog. She was the second dog to be certified in PA by FEMA as an Urban Search and Rescue Dog. She was my partner on several deployments including the first nine days at the WTC on 9/11. She never gave up- found firefighters working below the ground- and came out barking every time. I will never forget a young man coming out with her barking and barking, he was so so dirty- only the whites of his eyes showed... he was so excited beyond belief, hey lady your dog found someone!! but she had found "him" as he was working below the surface in the tunnels. . There were no survivors found while we searched but she never gave up. She had the spirit and soul to which every dog I know today is judged. Logans memorial page at Disasterdog.org
