Christmas Cards -
.... after 9/11, there was so much interest in the search dogs and the work they did; not only in searching, but in the support and comfort they brought to the devastation..... The first card started as a tribute to the times.... the incredible loss and the incredible spirit that surrounded people and the dogs that affected everyone so much. I had a beautiful photo of my three dogs taken in August that year with my dogs on the porch, just a random shot. These dogs are all gone now, but never forgotten.....Shelley, Dozer (my rescue German Shepherd) & Logan a K9 member of PATF1 who searched and never gave up hope those first 9 days after the attack at the WTC. Since then my Christmas Dog Card has become an annual tradition. Photos are all taken and “posed” by me... some are fantastic... some not so much.... but they are all very special each year~
They represent the wonderful blessings for which I'm forever grateful... these wonderful dogs in my life...
